2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name and email address provided when signing in with Apple or Google.
- Training data: routines, sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weights, notes, and any other information you enter into the App.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, and crash reports to help us improve stability.
- Device information: device type, operating system version, and app version.
- Payment data: if you subscribe to Doggins Pro, payment is processed by Paddle. We receive only confirmation of the transaction; we do not store card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account.
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.
- Process subscriptions and manage billing (via Paddle).
- Sync subscription status across platforms (via RevenueCat).
- Respond to support requests.
- Send important service notifications (e.g. billing issues, policy updates).
- Analyse aggregate usage trends to guide product decisions.
We do not sell your personal data or training data to third parties.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (UK/EU Users)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on the following bases:
- Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: improving the App, preventing fraud, and ensuring security.
- Legal obligation: where we are required to retain data (e.g. financial records).
- Consent: for any optional communications such as marketing emails.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Clerk — authentication (Sign in with Apple / Google). Clerk handles identity verification and session management.
- Paddle — payment processing and subscription management. Paddle is our Merchant of Record and processes payment card data.
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase and subscription status syncing across platforms.
- Cloudflare — hosting and edge network. Cloudflare may process request logs in the course of providing its services.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and training data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (e.g. payment records for up to 7 years).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

If you are located in the UK or EU and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk).
8. Data Exports
You can export your training data at any time from within the App. Exported data is provided in a standard format and is solely for your own use.
9. Children's Privacy
Doggins is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including countries where data protection laws may differ. Where we transfer data internationally we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
11. Security
We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable precautions.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
